We went allong with our posters and pictures and comics and did much selling, thanks greatly to all those who baught stuff it was great, thanks for your support and be assured more CANDLEMAN is on its way, i'm working on the Christmas special as we speak, plus other sequencial art madness, encluding zombies, space soldiers and monkeys with swords.

The show was great and we all had a fab time, I spent most of it drawing, and some of the acer ones are here on blogger NOW WOOOW, I don't really know what to say, its all been a bit overwhelming, so many great people with amazing stuff http://www.studioblinktwice.com/ really liked my stuff, god knows why...

Check out Red Wasp, she's on her way, I'm working on a christmas issue, thats hould hopefully be out on time, its kind of overlapping the creation story I'm writing at the moment, the Christmas issue CANDLEMAN vs CHRISTMAS, started as a bit of fun and has become the ground work for a bigger story arc.
Any way, this is Debbie Hive THE RED WASP, she's an archer and super agent for the Action Hero Legue...






And another new character, just on the verger of making an appearance, Wild Kat, the main star in the christmas issue, this is a quick pen sketch I did of her a week or so ago and coloured in PS

Fuhinally, its actually here, the first ever ACTUAL print copy of CANDLEMAN, its turned out ok, although there are some issues with the full bleed thing on the pages, but it looks acceptable, infact it looks pretty sweet, im chuffed, so dont forget, if u want a copy, be at the INTERNATIONAL COMIC CON in BIRMINGHAM on the 13th or 14th of October this year, and part with some hard urned or hard stollen cash, eithers good :)

Here's a little treat for you guys, CANDLEMAN may be making some tentative steps into the world of computers, as such, my friend who is working on the models for said project knocked this up as a quick test based on the sketch from yesterday. Its only rough and he assures me it still needs alot of work, but I love it and hope you guys do too

Here u go, i did this while i was off work, i started messing in maya with a really basic version of the apc from aliens that i had made a while back, and just went to town on it to see how good i could get it to look, its not bad, and im pretty pleased with it, im sure there are a billion things wrong with it and the cue of nerds who can spot them will probably be round the block in no time, but im pleased with it. hope u like it too.

Also, on the Candleman front, the comic book is done and printed, there should be, with any luck, some to buy at the comic fair, wich is creeping closer.

Here's some messing about i did years ago with a colegue from college, its basically a rip off of the Aliens film franchise, we set out to see how well we could do the effects from the movie on a non existant budget, one day, ill finish it, honest, any way here's a little trail i did with some of the footage.

BI MON SCIFI CON!!

Well, not really, but kinda. We're closing in on the Birmingham Comic con, we visited last year. a low profile was kept and much sneaking about was done, this year we are planning to go properly and actually attempt to flog some art work. I've applied for a table and am in the process of getting some of the comics printed, what should be available to anyone willing to spend a small amount will hopefully be, a full colour print of Candlemans first adventure, 'the legend of darkness falls' and a never before printed black and white comic produced specifically for the comic con. THE FUHRIDAY CANDLEMAN

Yay, here he is, its looking like you people are locing him these days, which is nice, more than nice infact, its great, so heres some picks of the man himself. I feel I must make some appologies, first off for the horrid copyright thang splashed over the picks, but, a friend of mine advised me to do it, specially as we have had cock heads liberating our images in the past and giving no credit, He is copy righted as in, being held by shark like lawyers, that will be used if they have to be. Theres that horidness out of the way, on two appology 2: I got pissed at the apparent death of my comic page www.candlemania.co.uk, its still there just not doing much, and promised that I would keep the comic going here, which, i have so far NOT done, but I will HONEST, Im just waiting on dell to get my laptop to me and I can actually get this shit rolling again.

Here's a pick I did for a friend of mine who's feeling a bit under the weather at the mo. Now, Ive talked to a few folks and they've said that I should put a colouring tutorial up, I shall indeed do this next week some time, so keep yer eyes furmly locked to the sight with the Candleman on it, and Ill give out my secrets...

I did this last night with felt pens, the drawing any way and coloured it in PS, turned out pretty well I feel, unlike the print out, god alive, will i ever find a printer that prints whats on the screen?

Hello there, I have been pottering with some colour stuff, so, see what you think, I'm quite pleased with this un :)











And here is a pen design for a lorry I did for a CG project a friend of mine is working on, I struggled to get it the way i wanted, doodling with pencil so i just said, to hell with it, and whacked it out in pen and it looked exactly the way I wanted. :)

Yay, more colour stuff, This again was drawn strait off in felt tip and turned out quite well, I then scanned it in and used PS to colour it, looks pretty good, if i do say so myself, god how arogant am i , but why not, it looks the way i want it to and arnt we all a bit tired of the artist who hates all his own work, what a cleshe, I dont nesiserily hate all my stuff, just a large pertion of it and most of the time i like everone elses better than mine :)

Holy dingos. More were wolves? I'm affriad so, it looks like the future holds more of the fiendish undead for our hero Candleman, although, these guys are more like your classic were wolf than the wierd dog monster from darkness falls, one day all will be revealed.

Here is a quick sketch i did of the Green Goblin from Spiderman, yay, such a class vilain, why oh why did he suck so much in the film, ho hum, hollywood, u are the bane of our world, sorry, rant territory there, um were was I oh, yes, this was knocked out fast in pen, I am using pens these days to tryan and boost confidence in my line work, see, u cant really do construction and once u have put a line down thats it, thats why his pumpkin holding arm looks a little loke a snake, a bit formeles and a tad too long, try not to look at it, I dont.



Ah, now, back onto my own shtuff... This is a doodle of Wilhelmina, again a revisit to the current comic on CANDLEMANIA, it will be a while till u get to see this, as my colegue decided he couldnt hack doing any more to it, just as the shit was kickin off, nicelly timed there, oh well, what you gonna do, he is after all extremely busy. Sorry, very bitchy of me, and this is not a forum for my personal issues, ah who am I kiddin...

Hello there, sorry for the lag of updates and the blatent lack of Comic book pages. On the comic book note, It will most likelly be several weeks before I continue posting them as, things here in work are getting hecktic and I am waiting for a lap top to arrive so I can colour away to my hearts content.

Hello there. Yes. To be honest, I've no idea what is going on with the CANDLEMANIA site at the moment, I am both annoyed and upset by its apparent desertion. I feel it is a great shame that having spent 3 years setting up a fan base the site has evidently died. The comic has not. My work continues. Ideally I would like to continue the Cmania site as we know it, but that looks like it is not going to happen, I plan one last ditch attempt to revive my friend and get the comic moving again, but, if that fails, then I intend to continue it here as it has been for the last 2 weeks.

Candleman is something I beleave in and a story that needs to be told, and its unfortunate that the first attempt to actually tell the saga seems to have met with resistance from within. Ho hum, never mind, I just jope that I can drum up viewers.

On with the art, the pic is a promo image I created for the comic using a grab of the inks from a page I was working on, the image is designed to be 2 pannels, but I thought that the image of Candleman and Lucifer looked so cool it desurved to be reworked as a stand alone image.

MOOOOHAHAHAHAHA, clearly goes with these two. These are inked up versions of some doowidles I did tuther day, I decided to refresh myself with some colour, Ide forgotten loads of how to actually do comic style colours, as theres not much call for it on my current stuff, I actually had to dig out a few old PSD's and go through the layers to try and nember how I did it., any way. Im guite pleased with the right hand picture, the buildings are a bit cack, but their there just as a test really.

Theres no perticular reason I did the green goblin, other than I love him, specially the Humberto Ramos version, cos he looks totally brutal. If any one has any questions about the techniques in the pictures please ask using the comment box below :)
