Here's a random selection of doodles from the past week or so.
Here is a quick sketch i did of the Green Goblin from Spiderman, yay, such a class vilain, why oh why did he suck so much in the film, ho hum, hollywood, u are the bane of our world, sorry, rant territory there, um were was I oh, yes, this was knocked out fast in pen, I am using pens these days to tryan and boost confidence in my line work, see, u cant really do construction and once u have put a line down thats it, thats why his pumpkin holding arm looks a little loke a snake, a bit formeles and a tad too long, try not to look at it, I dont.



Ah, now, back onto my own shtuff... This is a doodle of Wilhelmina, again a revisit to the current comic on CANDLEMANIA, it will be a while till u get to see this, as my colegue decided he couldnt hack doing any more to it, just as the shit was kickin off, nicelly timed there, oh well, what you gonna do, he is after all extremely busy. Sorry, very bitchy of me, and this is not a forum for my personal issues, ah who am I kiddin...
Willis sportin a fantabulous black eye here, not that I in anyway promote smackin women about, but in this case it surves well to make my baddy into a total bastard, hay, worked in Back to the future.

Hello there, sorry for the lag of updates and the blatent lack of Comic book pages. On the comic book note, It will most likelly be several weeks before I continue posting them as, things here in work are getting hecktic and I am waiting for a lap top to arrive so I can colour away to my hearts content.

So, leaving excuses aside, here is a scribble of mega priest i did tuther day.

And here is a pick of Wilhelmina getting her dander up, Ive been drawing her in her fancy gown alot latelly, mainly cos of working on INFERNO, its reminded me of all the fun design eliments there were within it.

Really testing myself today by doing some stuff in marker pen, no room for error, I have actually surprised myself by doing some drawigs that weren't shit

INFERNO... its still going honest

Hello there. Yes. To be honest, I've no idea what is going on with the CANDLEMANIA site at the moment, I am both annoyed and upset by its apparent desertion. I feel it is a great shame that having spent 3 years setting up a fan base the site has evidently died. The comic has not. My work continues. Ideally I would like to continue the Cmania site as we know it, but that looks like it is not going to happen, I plan one last ditch attempt to revive my friend and get the comic moving again, but, if that fails, then I intend to continue it here as it has been for the last 2 weeks.

Candleman is something I beleave in and a story that needs to be told, and its unfortunate that the first attempt to actually tell the saga seems to have met with resistance from within. Ho hum, never mind, I just jope that I can drum up viewers.

On with the art, the pic is a promo image I created for the comic using a grab of the inks from a page I was working on, the image is designed to be 2 pannels, but I thought that the image of Candleman and Lucifer looked so cool it desurved to be reworked as a stand alone image.

COLOU RED

MOOOOHAHAHAHAHA, clearly goes with these two. These are inked up versions of some doowidles I did tuther day, I decided to refresh myself with some colour, Ide forgotten loads of how to actually do comic style colours, as theres not much call for it on my current stuff, I actually had to dig out a few old PSD's and go through the layers to try and nember how I did it., any way. Im guite pleased with the right hand picture, the buildings are a bit cack, but their there just as a test really.

Theres no perticular reason I did the green goblin, other than I love him, specially the Humberto Ramos version, cos he looks totally brutal. If any one has any questions about the techniques in the pictures please ask using the comment box below :)

I think I'm getting it.

Ive been doing alot of design stuff for 3d characters latelly and its really forced me to analyse my stuff and strive to get more 3 dimentions into things and really try to create some volume. Over the lat day or so I think I've started getting it too. Why things work and how to build volume into things

I usually avoid the air brush like the plague, as it can look oh so amiture and studenty, but i saw it used really well on something the other day so i gave it a go and i think it looks ok, not sure about the huge bloom on the left of the image, but tough chips, its there now moohahahaha

I did this yesterday afternoon as a lickle doodle and when I got home I looked at it and thought it was actually better than I origonally gave it credit for, so i tarted it up a bit, hope you like it, its a bit cleche but hay, i work in games, what do you expect, big tits, small costumes and massive guns!! I wish, at the moment I'm drawing lots of cuddly animals and such, so i guess this is a bit of a vent!!

Heres a quick CG model I knocked up today as a concept for a writing project I'm doing, it doesnt require illustration, but images are so important to my thought process I found I needed to do a model.

And heres the latest version of Wilhelmina Prize. Im pretty chuffed with this, she looks kinda hot and cartoony with big stylised feet n hair. Pleased with this :)

I dunno whats quite going on here, but I was doing some experimentation with sky's and i started messing with the brightness contrast and eded up with this, which I actually quite like, it has a kind of print ish feel. Hope you find it warm and likeable as I did :)

Been looking at some shiny things out there and was inspired to draw up something completly in the computer, you get such a different line quality and its ace, heres a thing, I dont think I'm confidebt enough with the tablet yet to try something really controlled, but I'll give it a go, and let you know how it went. Hope you like him, I'm quite pleased, its a start any way

Halfway... through the week

And here are the mid week offerings. This is a rough sketch of a new bad guy lurking in the shadows of Candlemans world. I've had his story on the cards for ages, coming off the back of the INFERNO story line, but its taken me from early last year to come up with a look for the guy that I actually like, which is odd, cos I usually have a character designed then go, this guys cool, whats his story, this si the first time I have had it the other way.

And this, its not really for anything, I just happened to do a pick of a WW2 style trooper and it turned out ok, so I quickly did some photo shop magic on it and offer it to you in all its brown tinted oldy worldy glory.
